Sempu is a little island that become the most magnetic point for beach tourism in East Java generally and Malang especially. To reach there, you can start your journey from Malang city as the nearest and supporting point. From Malang city, you can go to Sendang Biru Beach by public transportation that available everyday from morning until 2 PM. You can catch this public transportation at Gadang Bus Station. The time needed to reach Sendang Biru Beach from Malang city is about three hours.
Arrived in Sendang Biru Beach, if your arrival are still on the day time, we suggest you to go directly having your next adventure to Sempu. But if you have just arrived in almost the sunset goes down, we suggest you to stay one night at sendang biru first until the morning and then go to sempu.
The little heaven is in a kilometers away by the sea from the seashore of Sendang Biru Beach. There’s a lot of fisherman boat rented to be the only one transportation to reach Sempu. The price is about 100-150 thousand in IDR for taking you and pick you up next when you back from Sempu. Don’t forget to ask the cellphone number of the fisherman boat and make the appointment about your picking time.

If you think for having some camping with your group of friends, don’t forget also to prepare your equipment like tent, portable stove, LED lamp, knive, compass, matches, enough water, bugs lotion, etc. You can also buy some vegetables or fishes at the Sendang Biru Fish Market for your dinner time with your friends.
The way to the Segara Anak, main destination of Sempu Island take for about two hours from the outer island. You have to walk along the tropical forest that also become conservational habitate for many kind of flora and fauna. The trees, flowers, and the rivers are so beautiful and fresh. Actually it’s better if you have one person as a guide in you group. But if you don’t, just walk ahead follow the path to reach Segara Anak. It will be a great adventure!
